We invite you to join us in pursuing Christ's Mission through these activities.
The major objective of the Community of Christ Abolish Poverty & End Suffering Mission Initiative is to help persons gain self-respect and personal worth by moving from a condition of dependence to a life of productivity.
We work to Abolish Poverty & End Suffering by reaching out through compassionate ministries, in partnership with other faith communities and organizations that serve the poor and hungry and stop conditions that diminish the worth of persons. We invite you to join us. |
"Blessings of Community" highlights the importance of gathering, supporting one another, and working collectively toward common goals. In a world where individualism is often celebrated, the idea of a community seems outdated or even unnecessary. However, the gospel of Jesus Christ emphasizes the importance of community and its role in the spiritual development of individuals. By sharing our lives with others, we create a space where we can be vulnerable and open to God's grace.
We invite you to join us. |
"Sacredness of Creation" calls for respect and care for the environment, acknowledging the interconnectedness of all life. We join with God as good stewards of care for all creation. As a denomination we believe in Sacredness of Creation and encourage disciples and congregations to seek out ways in which they can nurture God’s creation.

June is Pride month. In Community of Christ, we affirm the worth of ALL persons, find unity in our diversity, and continue to advocate for peace and equality. You are loved!
We do our best to uphold these principles as a faithful response to our heritage and our continuing experience with God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
Our Enduring Principles, such as Worth of All Persons and Unity in Diversity define the essence, heart, and soul of Community of Christ as expressed throughout the world.
|
“From the earliest days you have been given a sacred principle that declares the inestimable worth of all persons. Do not forget. The One who created all humankind grieves at the shameful divisions within the human family. A prophetic people must work tirelessly to tear down walls of separation and to build bridges of understanding. You hold precious lives in your hands. Be gentle and gracious with one another. A community is no stronger than the weakest within it. Even as the One you follow reached out to those who were rejected and marginalized, so must the community that bears his name.” D&C 162:6

The lessons they learned … the roadblocks they encountered … and the blessings they continue to experience as a result of doing the hard work of engaging Harmony’s Welcoming and Affirming Program. Listen in, and find out how they are finding ways to truly live the Mission Prayer and several of Community of Christ’s Enduring Principles.
