Journey of Joy

Each year we get to journey onward following the Christmas star. This year like others is an opportunity for each of us to seek again for something more in our lives. For a moment, you can set aside whatever you have faced as you embrace the Christmas story. As you search, recognize the joy there is in being on the journey, the path you have taken. Recognize the people you encounter and those traveling with you. Yes there might be regrets, roads we wish we would have traveled but none of that matters as we look upon the Christ child. All that remains is joy. Joy for the love and grace shown to us. As the advent season ends, let that joy wash over you as you realize God is with us. Be Joyful and bask in the light of Emmanuel.

Watch this inspirational Christmas video about the joy we find in the journey to the manger.

Merry Christmas!  I pray that each of you have a wonderful Christmas!

This week reach out to others during the holiday season and share the joy you have.

Peace Surrounds

This last Sunday was the Advent of Peace. As we continue to travel toward the manger let us focus on the coming peace of Christ. It reassures us that no matter what is going on in our lives and the world that there is hope for change which will bring about peace to all. It is not for one or just a few but for all people to have. It's a peace beyond our understanding, something more than we can imagine, and can only be known through the experience of seeking God. So seek Christ this Christmas. Move toward the stable searching for something more and miraculous. Hear and experience the message of peace brought by the Christ child which echos off the mountains and canyons communicating, "Be calm, I am with you."

Let this video below provide support as you focus on the peace in you and all around you.

For those needing to find a place to worship online let me know as there are various virtual churches Midlands Mission Center has.

This week do something that brings you peace!

Memories of Love

The Advent of Love this Christmas season focuses on the everlasting love brought to us through the Christ child. As we continue to journey toward the stable let us reflect upon our own journey's and how they have helped shape us into who we are today. Be joyful and appreciative for the memories formed and the love you have been given. It is in our memories where love is stored and reminds us of the beauty of life and living in community with others. This season we each get to reflect while we move forward following the Christmas star. The anticipation of hope in what will be is met with the astounding love that God is among us, fully present in our lives, not some far off distant place but here now.

Take this time to renew your commitment to love as you ponder what this Christmas means to you by watching the video below.

May you be filled with love this Christmas!

This week do acts of love to those around you!
